In response to the clever @YoliWriter:

White colored people, caucasian people, ethnically white anglo-saxon people.. which one again? Not sure how I'm supposed to dismantle a system when the writer of this comment hasn't convinced me they really know what said system is exactly. I hear theories, all propped up on the idea of White supremacy as an old past-time. But when you get to the end of the pole as I have, you start to notice how inaccurate that theory can be. Having agency and autonomy within a society have a lot to do with social class: Americans love to think we aren't riddled with it, but the middle class is dwindling and has been for years: long gone is that myth, yet idiots keep taking us back to the problems of racism, and not the symptoms that create systemic inopportunity: those implicit biases and myths. As an Italian American I know many of these!

I sympathize and empathize with anyone who is violated, but not going to fight bogey men either. No thanks, Twitter. Maybe if folk were more politically active in the 80's and 90's we wouldn't have such draconian drug laws and a police force that doesn't resemble their communities. Implicit bias is the blame here.

Marxism is out of gas if you keep propping up White people in this country as if they aren't being demographically diminished already. I'm so tired of hearing the colonial apologists to the victim culture surrounding these people who have suffered much. This gal is so entitled - so tired of this crap. Starting to sound like a Stalinist or Maoist regime the way they carry on and perpetuate this myth.

Actually, I'm going to say this rhetoric is regressive, because it misses the point entirely. If this woman was intelligent, instead of clever, she'd understand that America is divided by class, not race.

Implicit bias is rampant. And she is just as guilty of perpetuating it. She isn't an educator, but one that merely obfuscates. Lack of wisdom, might as well be blind. The people who do well financially, or have financial security in America right now, outside of trendy occupations, happen to be people who have strong families and social networks. It's always been that way, as an undercurrent sure, but people who are careerists very much have this mentality, which is why they usually end up in politics: they know how to engage the bureaucracy instead of wringing their hands at the corruption and disappointment - they surmount it. It is eaten for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We really are a warring people and our culture reflects that.

I'm glad the Black community is saying enough is enough. For an entirely generation of people, thanks to the internet, we are finally able to see how much implicit bias affects our society. It's just so ironic that the Internet was made by White people, such that this gal can have her opinions, yet she misses the point entirely. We already have dismantled lots of bureaucracy by making them accessible and transparent thru the digitizing of various media formats.

But corruption will always reign in America: if it isn't immigrants, then its vagrants. Not enough vagrants or pariah lying about, or too many?? Make and sustain them by destroying families thru draconian drug laws and private prisons.

So the whole storied story about White people and systems of oppression is so old. When did human nature get replaced with racist white people? America is an experiment and a death chamber at the same time: grabbing power in any form is not easily done - that's why money is such a revolutionary force - not racism. We live in meritocratic, somewhat prostituted career culture. Dominance and control: if you have an indomitable will, society here beats you up until you break. But there's an option for you: America is one of the best countries to start your own small business! This way you don't have to worry about racists, because you make your own opportunity.

America is exploitative if you don't know how to come up ahead. You will be taken advantage of and in that regard it is a bit anarchic already. It clearly benefits those in power to keep others in the dark, or position oneself in a way that cements their prestige, and our sad educational system also reflects a generic lack of regard to disenfranchised students in poverty who require twice as much funding to educate.

You will suffer if you remain ignorant. Guilty White people does nothing. I'll stand with disenfranchised people, but I'm not a martyr for them. White people aren't responsible for dismantling systems of oppression: the American people are. Everyone has a responsibility to each other or we would all be at each other's throats trying to chase the money and resources necessary to live, destroying everything in the process. Privilege in America doesn't take into consideration cultural privileges and generational endowments - it stops at race, which is sad, and at best a half-truth. Why do you think the concept of an Uncle Tom is so vivid a picture? They assimilated into W.A.S.P culture in order to remove the implicit bias of poverty and being uneducated. I hope we are a bit more enlightened these days to dismantle feeling of being betrayed racially, because having implicit belief in people that share your skin tone is such a farce.

Some battles have to be won by a people, and part of how that is done in America is thru participation in the economy: which has historically been difficult due to an entrenched implicit bias engendered by numerous things: poor education, propaganda, political opportunism, lack of opportunity if incarcerated (unless one makes their own occupation), draconian drug laws, generational poverty and broken families, loss of community connection to law enforcement and jurisprudence. I'd mistrust institutions after that much trauma, too, but the reality of poverty and mistrust of institutions sets one up for future failures.
