If gender is not sex and sex is not gender, then how many other things can be turned into an axiomatic diad
One reason I see this happening is that "white pride" and identification with ones inherent "whiteness" and culture is an act of racism or white supremacy in of itself. At the same time, people who have no connection to their ancestry or connection to their heritage or point of origin outside these borders will police others or claim others as their own without their consenting, and are simply White by definition with others of their designated color "accessories." For instance, those who readily defame and attacked a Caucasian for being proud of their Italian ancestry and heritage as some kind of fetish or need to be unique, instead of simply being proud of their heritage. Colorism has that effect. At one point Italians weren't considered White by any standard, neither with the Irish. Even more astonishing is that many folks forget that not all Italians who immigrated to Ellis Island could even converse with one another because some came from regions of Italy with mutually unintelligible dialects with even Italians being prejudiced towards other Italians based on the customary difference between their cultures. Europeans themselves have distinct cultures of their own with their own customs and manners just like any other people. If you have an ancestor that is Italian, then you share citizenship by right of blood relation - a geographical point of origin has no bearing. Maybe this is part of the American phenomenon and experience? Having insecure or loose attachments with broader society, not feeling accepted or directly/indirectly alienated from your point of origin, yet being expected based on pressures to choose your loyalty or find a middle path between two extremes where your physiological characteristics play such a role. At the same time, you have communities of people whether they be Black Hispanic Asian - any non-white or non-Caucasian culture banding together and taking pride in who they are but at the same time there are people from these communities who don't entirely fit into the orthodoxy they were raised in due to the fact that some grow up having friends of different cultures, faiths, and ethnic origins. Distinctly "American" - what is that exactly? Maybe Uprootedness is simply a consequence of Modern life that some escape having been where they are for generations. They're grounded. There are distinctively American traditions and they are rooted in ethnicity as a point of origin, but could you call them strictly White or Black at this point? Black folk, Natives, and Immigrants from various countries all over the world - not just Caucasians - have contributed to our government, culture, and cuisine. Denying White folk the ability to take pride in themselves actually contributes to negative attachment or natural identification of the culture of one's parent of birth. People, in general, will grasp to any culture they feel more of a connection towards and go for it. There's identity and then cultural relics that are associated with it. In what instance is this appropriation inappropriate and where does this simply become acculturation and assimilation cross-culturally? Caucasians are accepting and practicing Eastern religions like Hinduism and even Sikhism which have very outward expressions of faith. There are many instances all over the world where culture transforms into a fanatical cult of whether it be by color, style, or shared beliefs which then go about policing other's behaviors with zeal. The reality is, is that culture has always been a fluid thing so long as cultures must conduct business with others outside their community whereby some grow up in the middle. What of the Caucasian children who were raised in Native American communities? Would you pity them, suspect them of being up to no good, or could you believe them when they actually identified as the tribe they were raised with regards concerning? Many have come to suspect that what happened at Roanoke was simply that the colony failed because it had assimilated. After several generations the children become more assimilated and accustomed to others who don't share their ethnic backgrounds and as such are more likely to marry across racial, ethnic, and cultural lines. Eventually, this Gender is not Sex, Sex is not Gender will result in the Race is not Culture, Culture is not Race will end up leading us back to the point: do our genetics predispose us for certain psychological precognitive traits and attributes based on the physiological manifestation of how we look? This can be weaponized in a very bad way. Isn't this the dilemma that transgenderism presents us? Mental illness is allowed to create artifice in such a way as to construct a path of reasoning through unnatural exposure to hormones which have physiological manifestations that we can identify as belonging to sex, not their one assigned at birth via medication, which also changes behavior and the brain. What role does genetics play in psychology but also the psychology that creates culture, concentrated within a locality that can have a direct influence on those who come into contact with it such that this change can be measured? and of these cultures how are others drawn into the pattern of these group psychologies simply due to exposure directly or indirectly through the manifestations of culture in their environment growing up. Then on top of this we have the effects of mass media, commercialisation, hollywood, consumerism. Myers-Briggs has already found that there is a predominant personality type that is held by a large number of persons in a population and so it makes sense that some don't fit in, who then seek out other cultures, and thus trade is established. I mean how is it that Europeans have so many stereotypes for each other if they themselves didn't have an overarching consensus of what is typified as a French perspective or an Italian one if it were not a genetic component or predisposition - a condition that is magnified in the presence of others who share ancestry in a region and do not move far from the place they were born. I've seen Africans who move to America call Black Americans trash and other expletives. There are many Black Americans who are more American than those who came from Europe only three generations ago, having been here for over seven generations.
